Ulitao, a seafaring organization, has made the Valley of the Latte its home and has created a living Latte period village, with canoe carving demonstrations, coconut oil making, and other activities. We intend to celebrate the proud Chamorro tradition of seafaring by hosting I Fiestan Sahyan Tasi with the goal of training our people in this ancient art form and in preparation for FestPac 2020. We are inviting other seafaring organizations on Guam and Micronesia to also participate with us.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to re-introduce the culture, tradition, and skills of our island's seafaring people. As always the Valley of the Latte would like to provide a platform for all of our island's talent to engage and inspire all visitors. We are inviting artists and farmers again to participate in hopes of continuing the success experienced at the First Annual River Festival held at the Valley of the Latte, this past April.
There will be food, entertainment, prizes, artists, farmers, exhibitors, and the living history and rich cultural heritage on display at the Valley of the Latte's First Annual I Fiestan Sahyan Tasi.
