The Valley of the Latte would like to thank Mayor Vicente Taitague, Mayor Doris Flores Lujan, the Guam Visitors Bureau, Foodys, Takagi and Associates, Heineken, the Guamanian Magazine, Uno, Tropical Productions, Pepsi, GTA, Kloppenburg Enterprises, the Stations of KUAM and all our vendors and partners for making the Valley of the Latte River Festival II a rousing success.
We also want to thank Ms. Vicky Schrage, the students and instructors from John F. Kennedy High School, Simon Sanchez High School, and Okkodo High School , all who are part of the Guam Community College Pro-start program, for participating in the first Cha’Chak Culinary Championship. A special thank you to Chef Mirko Agostini from the Hyatt Regency Guam, Chef Darren Dragon from the Pacific Islands Club, our very own Food Guy, Mr. Ken Stewart, and International Distributors representative Elle Fejerang for being our professional judges for this competition. The students are all winners, and the best overall presentation, taste and use of basket ingredients went to Okkodo High School, who will be representing Guam in the National Pro-Start competition at the end of April.
